Amy Rezos

by Alison W from Sycamore Jr High

Amy Rezos is not just any hero she is a hero to her family and to her kids. She is a very loving mom who works hard to help and protect her children. She was beaten and shot in the back of her head, and yet she still survived. She had the courage and faith to survive just for her two sons. She knew that she had to stay alive, so that she could raise her two sons to be healthy young adults eventually. To me this is what I call a survivor hero she strived and struggled just for her two sons.

Amy Rezos lived in Liberty Township, when this incident happened. She was beaten terribly and shot in the back of the head by her husband. And yet she still survived. I think that she has made a difference because she gives the courage to other families around the world that they can do anything if they have the courage to think of someone who they love, which has taken a spot in their heart.

Amy has been through a lot of surgery and therapy to repair all of that damage that has been done to her. The bullets have left her with a metal plate in her skull for the rest of her life. Lastly, she has to take a lot of medications to help her heal and all the medications restrict her from driving and being alone.

She is definitely a survivor hero and a hero to others near and far. She was a survivor hero because she has been through a tragic experience and yet she still survives for both of her sons. As she says in the article “they where the most important thing, my kids.” My kids where the whole support.” She is a hero to others near and far because she did all this so that she could help her kids grow up, if she was my mom, I would call her a hero because she went through all of this so she could be with her kids.

Amy Rezos is doing very well. She is watching her two sons grow up. She said "they have a lot of life in front of them and I want to see It."
