People influence the one in many different aspects throughout life. Yet, it’s one person who grasps and holds our hearts and keeps that glimmer of hope. To us, it is that guy who made his way to the top from the scratch, a guy who started like every little football lover as a kid in the streets. The way he started inspires kids and fans all over the world everyday and makes them fight for what they love confidently. He’s the brilliant and fluid forward Ronaldo who became one of international soccer's great stars of the 1990s and Brazil's biggest soccer hero since Pele.

Ronaldo is one of the most talented strikers in the world who has been nicknamed O Fenomeno, which means "The Phenomenon". When Ronaldo was 14 years old he joined the Brazil youth team and at the age of 16 he was scouted by Cruzeiro Esporte Club and started playing in the 1st team. In that year he scored 12 goals in 14 games.

Philanthropy

What we like most about Ronaldo is the fact that it is not always about material interests for him, like when he participated in the friendly charity game played at Malaga’s La Rosaleda stadium on November 19 which was organized to raise money to fight poverty. Furthermore, Ronaldo became a United Nations Development Programme Goodwill Ambassador in 2000. "No one should be doomed to a life of poverty, whether by birth or as a consequence of war", Ronaldo said. Ronaldo has also supported numerous Israeli and Palestinian children's charities and conducted a tour of Israel and the West Bank.
