Rosa Parks is known as being “the mother of the civil rights movement” and as a black activist. She is also known as being a bold and outspoken lady. But today, she is something more. Rosa Parks is my hero.

Rosa Parks was a lady who was brave, determined, and bold. Although she was all these things, I admire her the most because she was determined. Whenever she was faced with a struggle, Parks managed to handle it and persevere. She has made a difference in my life by being a role model who I can think of and remember that I must be determined if I am to end all the struggles I go through in my daily life.

Ms. Parks worked mainly to earn more rights for blacks and to also help people to realize that they truly deserved more respect than they were being given. However, she also worked to end segregation and unite blacks and whites. While doing this, Parks earned many awards, but they weren’t what mattered; what mattered was that many people were being given new rights and opportunities.

In conclusion, Rosa Parks has worked as an activist by vouching for equal rights for both whites and blacks, and also fighting to end segregation. This great woman also helped people to realize that it is what is on the inside that counts. Today, Rosa Parks is no longer alive, but her memory lives on in all the people who admire her, and in all the people who truly believe that she is a hero.
