Rosario Rincon is my mother. She has been my motivator and a great inspiration that anything is possible. She is a single mother and has brought me up to go to school, fend for myself, and be independent. She taught me these principles by example. She worked hard, many times long hours and with no vacations, to provide a living for us. She always told me that school was a path to becoming what I wanted.

It is through school that I will be able to have the career in teaching that I desire. She is proud of me and most importantly she tells me in her own way. She is still a hard worker and proud to have what she has because of her hard work. She feels that when things are earned they are that much more valuable to us than when they are given.

I admire her perseverance, joy of life, and individuality. She has a clear sense of self and is dedicated to living a life worthy of calling hers.
