My hero is Rosie Vazquez, my mom. She is my hero because she told me if I put my mind to it then I could do it! That made me think if I put my mind to it, I can get straight A’s on my report card.
My mom is my hero, because she is a leader. She is a leader, because she taught my sister and I to do the right things. She taught us not to be rude to others, don’t talk back and be polite to others, and treat people how you want to be treated. That is how my mom is a leader.
My mom has also sacrificed a lot for us. I remember a couple times when she got offered manager of her job. She couldn’t take it, because she sometimes had to travel out of town and maybe sometimes out of state. She can’t go on vacations a lot. Sometimes, she gives up her food for us if we're at Burger King and they don’t give us the right order or if we don’t like what they gave us to eat. That is what my mom has sacrificed for us.
Another reason why my mom is a hero because she is because she’s not phony, she’s real. One reason why she’s not phony is because she speaks the truth about things. She does not try to act like someone else. Another reason why is because she does not talk behind peoples’ backs. She tells them straight face to their face. That is why mom is not phony, she’s real.
My mom is a hero because she overcomes her fears. I remember one time when we were in Florida; she wanted to go on this ride called Splash Mountain. But when we got close to it, she freaked out and said she didn’t want to go on it any more. But my sister, dad, and I forced her to go on it, and she did. When we got off the ride she wanted to go on it again. That is how my mom overcomes her fears.
Another reason why my mom is a hero is because she is very responsible. She is responsible, because when she doesn’t go to work one day, she makes up the day or the work. If you were to give her something to hold onto, she would hold it until you need it or want it back. That is how my mom is responsible.
My last reason why my mom is a hero is because she is determined. She is determined because I remember one time when she said that she was going to sell our house, but she didn’t. She said it again this time, and this time she actually did do it she just didn’t say it just to talk. That is why my mom is determined.
My mom is my hero is because she’s a leader. She has sacrificed a lot for my sister and I. She’s not phony, she’s real. She overcomes things and plenty more. I knew my mom was right if I put my mind to it I can do it. I know that because I almost got straight A’s on my report card. That is why Rosie Vazquez is my hero!

I wake up at 5: oo in the morning
Hearing the birds chirping
I see my husband getting
Up to go to work
I smell the strong cologne he
Wears. I see my two children
Sleeping and sometimes snoring
Then I see my to kids when
I’m about to go to work.
They give me a hug when I leave.
So then I go off to work.
I see people with oxygen machines
All day I hear phones ringing
And people asking for oxygen machines
Then I leave work at 6 p.m.
When I get home I can smell the delicious
Food my husband makes! Then at 9:00 I
Watch Grey’s Anatomy and then I
Fall asleep.
