Patrick Roy. A definition of a hero to me is someone that did something amazing in their life, like hockey .That is why Patrick Roy is my hero. He won the Stanley Cup 4 times and went to 11 All-Star games.

When Patrick was 7 he wanted to be a hockey goalie. He said “I want to be a goalie because the pads looked cool to me.” He invented the butterfly save when he dropped to his knees, it looked like a butterfly with his knees down on the ground.

Patrick Roy had an unbelievable NHL career. He went to 11 all star experiences. Also won four Stanley Cups. Patrick has won 4 Vezina Trophies. He was on the Montreal Canadians and the Colorado Avalanche. He liked the Avalanche team better because he new way more people on the team. He retired at the end of the 2001 season with the Colorado Avalanche.

After Patrick Roy quit hockey he wanted to be a coach. He fulfilled his dream. He coaches a bantom team Quebec. He is now 44 now and lives in Quebec. Patrick got his nickname St. Patrick from Colorado. He holds the most wins and the most shut outs in a season;19

Roy in French means king and he was just that! Patrick Roy was an outstanding goalie and everyone will remember him for his career. He was born on the same day and year as Mario Lemieux. Patrick Roy is my favorite goalie and always will be that is why I picked him as my hero.Patric Roy was a saint to me!
