Daniel "Rudy" Reuttiger was a kid growing up in Joliet, Illinois. Even though he was born and raised in Illinois he loves Notre Dame Football. Rudy was third of fourteen children and went to Joliet High School where he lead his football team in tackles his junior and senior years. For college he went to Holy cross and then on to Notre Dame. He walked on to the football team and never played until the last play of his senior year versus Georgia Tech. He got a sack on the last play of the game and was carried off the field by his teammates (he is one of two in Notre Dame players ever to do so). I admire Rudy because I am an athlete and I love Notre Dame football.
