Sidney Crosby displays courage after  game when he had a life threatening experience.  Crosby went through a lot of grief and suffering thinking that his hockey career may be over even if he got back on the ice he knew he was at risk.  "Crosby's career has been beset by concussions. At the Winter Classic game on New Year's Day 2011 in Pittsburgh, Crosby was leveled by a blindsided hit to the head by then Washington Capitals center David Steckel. The collision forced Crosby to miss the rest of the season and fueled talk that his career might be in jeopardy"(Sidney Crosby Biography).  His concussions were a big problem in his career because he had several more after the Winter Classic game.  When he suffered this severe concussion, no one knew if Crosby was going to come back to the game he loves.  Even though Crosby was able to play again his recovery was not quick, he had to wait until the next season to play again.  "At 22, he is inarguably Canada's best hockey player, winner of a Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins, a Hart Trophy as the NHL's most valuable player, and a world junior championship. The ebullience that might induce has been pressed down beneath a lid of cultivated blandness"(Gillis, Charlie).  Whether injured or not he still an amazing player who came back to the dangerous game of hockey.  No one would have ever come back to the game after an injury like that.  It takes real courage to be the best and be in jeopardy.
