Stephen Curry

My hero is Stephen Curry. I chose Stephen Curry because he is only 6'3 and he is doing big things in the NBA and it just really inspires me because there the average NBA size is about 6'5 or 6'6 and there all big and buff, but Steph is just skinny and he is not that strong compared to other point guards such as John Wall for example/ He is the greatest shooter of all time. He has broken so many records and is still continuing. You can compare him to the all-time greats such as Ray Allen or Reggie Miller for example. His dad who was also in the NBA hit 1200 3 pointers in 16 season which is a jaw-dropper to me. Wardell Stephen Curry II, better recognized as Steph Curry is the son of Dell Curry who has hit 1200 3s in 16 seasons.

Stephen Curry attended Davidson College, just 20 minutes from home. It was a small art school which wasn't popular at all and they weren't known for basketball until Curry attended there. He had a dream of attending the big schools such as Duke. His father's college didn't even pick him because of his appearance. The fact that he was short, weak, and not that athletic. He would keep on hearing things like "Not that strong" or "Can't play defense." In his first game, he had 9 turnovers in the first half. The head coach of Davidson, Bob McKillop, was thinking if he should belong in the starting lineup. He and his assistants were thinking that he can be better in the second half because they have attended his AAU games before. The next night against Michigan, he dropped 32 points. Curry almost brought his team to the NCAA Final Four. They came up short because their team wasn't good enough to suceed.

Curry entered the NBA in the 2009 NBA Draft. He was drafted into the Warriors and is still playing for them. As time flew by, Curry got married to his girlfriend he met in High School. He now has two daughters named Riley and Ryan. His wife Ayesha, has her own cooking and YouTube channel. Recently he broke an NBA 3 point record for most 3 pointers made in a game. He had hit 13 3 pointers in one game. He went 13-17 which is 76% and it is an incredible shooting percentage.

Curry entered the NBA right after his Junior season at Davidson. He led to his team almost to the final 4, but came up short against Kansas. He was the 7th pick in the 1st round draft of the 2009 NBA Draft. He entered the 3 point contest as a rookie and made it to the finals, but he came up short against Paul Pierce. Later on, a few years after his rookie season, ankle injuries really held him back in basketball. In 2014, he had one of the best seasons he could ever ask for. Then, 2015 came, again he had another outstanding season, better than his last one. They won the finals and Curry also won the 3 point contest. 2016 came when he had led his team to an NBA record, which was 73-9. They had blew a 3-1 lead against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Now in the 2017 season, with 4 All-Stars leading the way, Curry, Thompson. KD, and Draymond, they are looking forward to meet up with an eastern conference team in the NBA Finals. Maybe they want to face off with the Cavs again to get some revenge. Speaking of the Cavs, they also have 4 All-Stars, LeBron, Kyrie, Love, and Korver. Hopefully if they meet up again, it will be the 3 rd straight time.
