My personal career hero is Selena Marie Gomez. I’ve been aware of her for quite some time. She was on a new show on Disney Channel, called Wizards on Waverly Place. Her career seems so exciting; you never get bored with her acting and singing. She is such an interesting, amazing, kind hearted person. Her entire personality, what she does and why she does it makes it so much easier for her to be a role model for everyone.

Selena is actress and musician, which is exactly the career what I want to do. Her show “Wizards…” is a very popular show, which won an Emmy. There are a few key things put into this job, you need to really want it and never give up for what you want, you also need the support of the most important people around you. She is currently in high school; she has been debating over if she wants to go to college. For her show she is being paid 95 thousand but it does depend on the project you work on as to how much you make. She has yet to let all this attention get to her head.

Since she was a little girl she always wanted to be an actress and she was very ambitious. She started off with a part in Barney and Friends, with her best friend and Disney star Demi Lovato. She shows every characteristic that I appreciate. She is always very appreciative of her fans. She loves helping others. She is currently working on two projects I’m aware of. She is the youngest ambassador for UNICEF and she is part of Disney’s Friends for Change. UNICEF is The United Nations Children's Fund. Disney’s friend for change encourages kids to do the things that can help out planet and in taking shorter showers or unplugging things when you’re done with them. Selena involving herself in these projects inspires kids to help with the cause. She currently went to Africa to understand what the children go through.

My goals at the moment are to get involved in everything I possibly can involving music and acting. She has been my role model for years. That will never change and she is growing with her audience, and not many people can do that very well. I want to get as good of grades as I can and be able to qualify for a good university. I plan on going to UC Berkley. After university I haven’t planned it out, but it will be amazing. I have very high expectations for myself. That will give me the push to be want I want to be.
