I think Steve Jobs is a Renaissance man because he pushed the limits to find a new way for new technology to find new hopes for people. As Jobs once said "Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower " ("The Innovation Secrets of Steve Jobs," 2001).

Early Life: Steve Jobs was born on February 24,1955 in San Francisco, California. He was adopted as an infant. He and his father worked on electronics in their family garage. His father was an big influence on his life. His father cared a lot about him because they worked on designing computers themselves. Steve would draw out computers on big sheets of paper for many hours each day. Steve Jobs was very smart in school however he didn't care to go to school.

The Innovation or Idea: When Steve Jobs decided on creating the Apple products he wanted to change how the way people thought or a new way of communicating. Jobs wanted a new and easier way to get things done faster than before the Apple products were made. Steve Jobs created the Apple computers. Steve Jobs came up with the name Apple because he enjoyed going to an apple orchard called the All-One-Farm and he was also a fan of the Beatles and their record label called Apple Records (Killough Mc Clafferty). He created the first Apple 1 in 1976 and the Apple 2 in 1977 (World Book). In 1986 Jobs switched to NeXT Inc. and stayed there until 1996 (World Book). In 1996 Steve Jobs went back to Apple products and Apple bought NeXT Inc. If Steve Jobs wouldn't have invented the Apple products, people would just be using the basic slow computers and phones. With Apple products it is a faster way to find technology and a faster way of communicating. After Steve Jobs went back to Apple he started inventing better and more technological products. He created the iPod, iPad, iPhone, iMac, iTunes that help people in many ways today. In 2008 iTunes became the second biggest music retailer in America (biography.com). There were 6 billion songs downloaded (biography.com). Steve was number one in America's most admired company.

Impact on their Innovation: The idea of the Apple products really changed how people thought as far as technology. The invention of the Apple made it a faster and easier to communicate and find out information. Today we see the idea of the Apple because schools all around the world use the products today, and some even use them for their jobs. The way people think today is very different from when there were just the basic computers and the basic telephones.

I think Steve Jobs is a Renaissance man because he has changed the way people think and has made new ways to use technology. He has pushed the limits of literacy, art science and new technology for people all around the world today.
