Forbidden to remember, terrified to forget; it was a hard line to walk."

In honor of Stephenie Meyer, I did research about this hero in “Biography Today” I chose Stephanie Meyer because I’ve always enjoyed reading her books. After the research, I was glad I did because I learned so much about her.

Who knew such a normal beginning would give the world such a hero? Stephenie Meyer was born Stephenie Morgan in Hartford, Connecticut on December 24, 1973. Her parents are Stephen and Candy Morgan. She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, with her parents, and siblings, Emily, Heidi, Paul, Seth, and Jacob.

The foundation of heroism is education. Stephenie attended Chaparral High School which was an affluent school. She graduated in 1992, leaving with a National/Merit Scholarship, and selected Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She then graduated from college in 1997.

After college, she started getting to know her soon-to-be husband, Christian “Pancho” Meyer. They had known each other since childhood, and they attended the same church, but they still didn’t speak to each other a whole lot until they both went to Brigham Young. The year Stephenie graduated, they were wed.

Hard work contributes to heroism. Stephenie Meyer is most famous for her career, which is being a teen/adult writer. Her career took off when she started writing the best-selling series, Twilight. Did you know the whole idea started with one vivid dream? While sleeping one night, Stephenie dreamt of a teenage girl and a teenage boy falling in love. But their love was somewhat impossible, because the boy, Edward, was a vampire. The dream was so great Stephenie didn't want to get out of bed. She just layed there and tried to remember more of the dream. After that she carried on with her day, but when she had a spare moment, she wrote everything down. She didn't want to forget any of it! She did a ton of research, and that dream became chapter twelve of her first book in the series, Twilight. Later came three other books, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.

Stephenie Meyer is important to mankind and changed the world. She taught kids the lesson that a book doesn’t have to be small to comprehend, because most of her books are up to 700+ pages. Have you ever really seen kids reading huge hardback books before J.K Rowling and Stephanie Meyer? Stephanie Meyer has taught so many more important lessons like this, and that’s why I chose her as my hero.
