Stephenie Meyer

Stephenie Meyer is a very talented writer. She is motivated and hard working. Stephenie is a woman who has been an inspiration to young writers like herself because of her addicting series-'the Twilight saga', the teenage love story between a vampire and a human. Stephenie has written other books as well ('The Host' and another 'twilight' book, 'Midnight Sun' but she isn't publishing due to exposure on the internet.) Stephenie graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelors degree in English. She was born in Connecticut in 1973, then moved to Arizona when she was 4 years old. Stephenie still lives in Arizona with her husband and 3 sons.

Stephenie first started writing 'Twilight' on June 2nd of 2003. The inspiration of Twilight started out as a dream. In her dream, there were 2 people standing in a meadow, having an intense conversation. (hence chapter 13 ('Confessions')) one of them, was a normal 17 year old girl. The other, was not your average boy, no; he was impossibly beautiful, sparkly-in-the-sun, and he had a dark secret, he was a vampire. They were talking about the facts that, they were falling in love, and that he was restraining himself from the bloodlust that raged inside him, trying not to kill her instantly. The names? Stephenie used a name for the boy that was considered romantic, but wasn't popular for years, that which led her to the name 'Edward' "The female lead was harder" Stephenie explained "it took me a while to find the perfect name for her until I found the name I was going to name my daughter, 'Isabella' BAM! Edward and Bella were Named!"

"For the setting, I wanted someplace rainy and small, so I googled the place with the most rainfall in the U.S. It soon turns out to be on the Olympic peninsula in Washington state. There was a small, rainy town named Forks," Stephenie informed people on her website (www.stepheniemeyer.com) She also found the La Push reservation. Apparently, the story behind that was so fascinating to her, she actually used some fictional creatures in her book!!

I chose Stephenie Meyer as my hero because she is devoted, hard working and she inspires me. Like, when I'm bored I will usually read her books, doodle or write random stories. My stories are made up, but I love using the long, descriptive words in them. Stephenie inspired me to write to express my emotions. I thank you so much Stephenie, for without your novels of addictivness and brilliance, I would have never found my cool writing talent!!

Stephenie's books have reached millions of people, each one astounding story after the next. Hollywood.com says 'The Twilight series are "the absolute most thrilling love story since 'Titanic'!" Stephenie will go down in history as one of the most promising authors since J.K. Rowling.
