Shigeru Miyamoto

My Hero, Shigeru Miyamoto, is a video game designer from Sonobe, Japan. He was born in November 16, 1952. He inspired so many people for his amazing work in games and he revolutionized many things we see today like the Apple Iphone. He also influenced many competitors, that rival Nintendo to make also amazing games that people still play today and make people have a smile on their faces. Miyamoto was the one who saved video gaming as a whole from the Video Game Crash of 1983, which was going to end gaming forever; However, Miyamoto stepped in with his revolutionary hit "Donkey Kong", which was a hit all over the world and people loved it to death. This lead Nintendo into the "Monsters of Gaming" that we know today from playing cards to Miyamoto's famous plumber, Mario.

Miyamoto first started his job at Nintendo as a toy maker. His father gave him the job at Nintendo and he also loved to make toys out of random objects. Later, Nintendo made a arcade machine called, "Radarscope". It was a gigantic failure and it didn't do well. Nintendo saw Miyamoto's drawings,(plus Miyamoto also used to draw Manga at the time), and let him make a game to cover the failure of RadarScope. He was having a hard time trying to make a game for Nintendo, until he had three designs that changed Nintendo forever, a gorilla, man, and a lady. Those people were what we know today as, Donkey Kong, Mario, and the forgotten Pauline. This lead to the game simply named, "Donkey Kong"and it was a success. This revolutionized the arcade industry and also many gamer's heart. Years later with the release of the NES(Nintendo Entertainment System), The game "Super Mario Bros" saved the whole industry from the Video game Crash of 1983 and this game was made by Miyamoto and he was remembered for this game and other masterpieces. He was the hero of many people and their childhood.

Miyamoto fell in love with someone named, "Yasuko" and married her and had two kids with a dog. Miyamoto's efforts lead to Nintendo being a billion dollar company and saving them and changing everyone's life. Miyamoto wasn't just like for his games, he was a very nice person with a silly attitude while staying mature at the same time. Miyamoto had been taught English, but he didn't say English very well and today he has to use a translator to speak it for him. That was a hard point in his life and he didn't even have a Television to watch. Miyamoto continued to make other games like the Legend of Zelda (which was inspired from him exploring a cave as a kid), Star Fox, Donkey Kong Country, and etc. People say he's the "Legend of Gaming" and because of his work he put in these games and why many people love him.

Miyamoto revolutionized the gaming industry from Donkey Kong. He was the reason gaming is still here and the way he did from Donkey Kong is the game itself. People kept playing it and People wanted to get better and we got more sequels and a whole new series,Donkey Kong country. Even though he didn't do the most heroic thing like save people, It doesn't mean he can be a hero by just making people happy and inspiring them. Just because he makes GAMES, doesn't mean he can't be a hero. He made a billion dollar company to make entertainment to people all over the world. He also made tons of awards for what he did in the past.

Miyamoto is loved around the world. He is a famous icon for his personality and his heroism. People will never forget the day he saved gaming and when he retires, we'll miss him for his outstanding work and the way he treats his fans, and Nintendo as a whole. If he wasn't here, where would we be at right now? He'll always be remembered for being a gaming legend.
