Scott Neeson

An organization named Cambodian Childrens Fund (CCF) currently has 2,300 kids enrolled in its education program. They have also built around 300 homes last year for homeless families and kids in Cambodia. 4,900 loaves of bread are given out to homeless families and the homeless children. You are probably thinking this organization is run by some large named company owner controlling the operation from some mansion somewhere in Hollywood. But, it's quite the opposite since the owner of this non-profit organization is an ex-Hollywood producer who made his wealth filming and editing big name movies like Titanic, Braveheart, X-Men, and Star Wars prequel trilogy. Wondering why I said 'ex' Hollywood producer? That's because he did quit Hollywood. His name is Scott Neeson. Grew up in Scotland and then moved to Australia when he was five years old. Scott dropped out of school at 17 and then started selling movie posters for a living. He worked his way up all the way to a producer at some of the most popular movies during his time. Scott Neeson is my hero because of his leadership of quitting Hollywood and making this world a better place with his fame, his selflessness when it comes to helping other people in need, and his inspiration for people to make a difference in this world.

Scott Neeson was a man that was the first to step up and doing something about the problem Cambodian kids have. Neeson wasn't satisfied with his Hollywood life so he wanted do something good for a change. He was the first to lead a non-profit organization as an ex-Hollywood producer. "We're not just getting them out of a bad place. I'm hoping that each CCF child will change a community." Neeson is the leader of CCF. He is training these kids to be good people. This quote even states that he hopes each CCF child will be able to help and change a community for the good. Neeson couldn't run operations in LA so he decided to fully commit his life to CCF. "Neeson decided to set up the Cambodian Children's Fund (CCF), a nonprofit to help children and their families in Phnom Penh. He began traveling back and forth from Los Angeles to Cambodia, but finally opted to quit the entertainment industry and move to Phnom Penh." To quit Hollywood forever is something that nobody back then had the guts to do. Neeson was the first to abolish his past life in the movie industry and work for homeless kids in another country. It was unheard of and he was the first to lead such a movement to help kids in Cambodia. Scott Neeson is a man of leadership. People knew that there were kids homeless in Cambodia and on top of that they had to work in trash piles. Neeson was the first to do something about it. He knew it was the right thing to do so he did it.

Neeson is a guy that doesn't care how much money he's spending or who he is working for as long as it's going to a good cause. He is a selfless human being trying to make a difference in the world. Scott Neeson would do anything as long as he was helping others. "But first Neeson had to get out of his Sony Pictures contract; to sell everything he owned and start a new life amid the garbage dump community at Steung Meanchey. "It was brutal," he said. "The change; the anxiety; the responsibility. But ultimately, the goal is what drove me on." Scott Neeson shows how selfless he is by selling everything he owned, he flew coach to Cambodia, and rented a small apartment. The next day he went to the trash piles to start making houses for the homeless children. Neeson was a guy who wanted to change other people's lives for the better. "I rented them an apartment and gave them a television, a motorbike, clothes," he told Patricia Storace." This was a selfless act by Neeson just because he saw them working in the trash piles and then he found out they don't have a home. He bought them nice things and found out it was all sold off and the money was being used to gamble by the the parents. The parents were taking them out of school and making them work in the trash piles. He then knew something had to be changed. Neeson is a generous man who struggled as a kid and wants to help the struggling kids in our world today.

Neeson is not only an inspiration not only to everyone that wants to make a difference in this world, he's even an inspiration to all celebrities to do something good with their fame. Scott Neeson inspired people all over the world. "Neeson looked back from Cambodia at the "rarified atmosphere" of Hollywood; fast cars, gorgeous girlfriends, first-class travel all over the world and a seven figure salary. "Prior to that I had the classic rationales of why I didn't give to charities: I didn't know where the money was going; it wasn't my problem; and the problem was too immense for me to truly make a difference." This shows that he is leaving all of the nice things behind to make others lives better. I don't know about some people but it definitely inspires a few people to go do something good for the world everyday.  In this quote from Scott Neeson he states that Money isn't the only way to make you happy.  "When you come from Elizabeth, start to earn good money, you do go through this phase where you say, 'Wow! I can buy this, I can buy that. I can do this, I can do that,'" he reflected in the Sydney Daily Telegraph interview. "But then you realize you are no happier, it doesn't really make any difference.... It doesn't bring happiness." This is inspiring to the point where money shouldn't make you happy by spending it on unimportant things. It makes you happy when you are using for helping the world. It makes you think of money in a different perspective. Neeson is trying to say that it's what you do with the money that makes you happy. It makes you think of money in a different perspective. Neeson is trying to say that it's what you do with the money that makes you happy. Neeson is a person that makes this world a better place and he will leave an impact by inspiring people to do good with their fame instead of just being another body on this earth.

Neeson is a guy who wanted to do something with his life and make a difference in this world. His leadership came from the fact that he quit Hollywood to move to a more ugly part of the world is something nobody really wants to do. Also his selflessness is shown because he doesn't care who he's helping as long as it is for the better of the world then he is satisfied. Lastly his inspiration for everyone who wants to make a difference in this world has inspired those people to go and make that difference even if it's small. Scott Neeson is my hero because of his leadership of quitting Hollywood and making this world a better place with his fame, his selflessness when it comes to helping other people in need, and his inspiration for people to make a difference in this world.
