Seth Rogen

According to dictionary.com the definition of a hero is, “A person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life.” In this sense Seth Rogen is not a typical hero but he does fit the part about being “A person noted for special achievement in a particular field.” Seth Rogen is a heroic figure to me because he is a hilarious person, a skilled entertainer, and a highly successful individual. These are all desirable traits for a hero to have because they all link together to make a well rounded person as well as a superior role model.

Seth Rogen is a hilarious person because he starred in a lot of comedies. These comedies include two short lived series Freaks and Geeks, and Undeclared. The movies he played in include “Superbad”, ”Knocked Up”, and “The 40 Year Old Virgin”. In fact, “The 40 Year Old Virgin” was declared the funniest movie of the year and made over a hundred million dollars. Seth Rogen’s part in this movie was truly impressive since it was his first major starring role.

As most people know, Seth Rogen is a semi-well known actor, script writer, and a skilled entertainer. He has had many roles in the entertainment industry and his experience goes from a simple writer, to an actor, and even an editor. He is probably one of the most well rounded people in the industry because he has an understanding of what almost everyone involved with movies and shows have to do. He also knows how hard their jobs are. These things help him make roles easier for all of his actors and he can also help make his scripts better and more entertaining.

A real hero starts out by chasing his dreams when he is young, which is exactly what Seth Rogen did. He started his career in the entertainment industry at the age of only thirteen. This is very impressive. I can’t imagine how much work it took for him to start out as a kid in school taking up a hobby, and getting to the point he is now. He never got discouraged even though he had three or four shows that were canceled after a short period of time. After all of these setbacks he still worked to get into movies as just a writer. Eventually he got his moment of fame in the movie “The 40 Year Old Virgin.”

Seth Rogen may not seem like a hero to people who don’t know all that he did and how hard he worked to accomplish his dreams. At first all of this work seemed like it was in vain because his shows were canceled but he never got discouraged, which is a heroic characteristic. He did so much to make his dreams become a reality such as starting out at age thirteen and working to become a better person in life as well as in the entertainment industry. I believe heroes should have a lot of the same characteristics as Seth Rogen because they all make for an extremely well rounded and respectable person.
