Shawn Johnson

She did an aerial on the beam and landed it
but when she tried to do a double twist turn on the floor, it was not so
easy. Gymnast Shawn Johnson was
born on January 19, 1992 in Des Moines, Iowa. She is still living in this
courageous world. She started
gymnastics when she was 3 years old and she started competing when she was only
7 years old.

She strikes again!
This amazing gymnast had some obstacles and some accomplishments. Some were when she won the U.S all-around gymnastics competition in 2007 and 2008. She also won three Olympic medals at the Beijing Olympics. The U.S House of Representatives congratulated her for her outstanding accomplishments. Some of her obstacles in life were when she was first born she had a score of "0". Another one was when a flood happened in her town and it ruined her gym but she still had to practice.What does she show?
To make a hero they most likely have to be something or do something you know most people can't. Shawn Johnson shows great Valor because she has to be really strong to able to do what she does now. I also think that she shows Perseverance because when she comes to a problem or a challenge she always finds a way to solve them. My last thing I think she shows in Intrepidity because she has to be fearless to be an awesome gymnast because if she stops in the middle of a routine when doing a hard trick she could really hurt herself.What she is to me.
I picked Shawn Johnson as my hero because I look up to her as someone who is really important. I really wanted to be on the gymnastics team and I tried out and the coaches said that I made it on the team. I was so happy. But when I told my parents they said that they wouldn't be able to take me because practices started at 4:00p.m and they get home from work at 6:00p.m. So they wouldn't be able to take me or pick me up. I was really upset but when I started researching about Shawn Johnson I knew that when she came to problems she always fond a way to find a solution. I don't care if it takes over a year but I am going to find a solution to my problem just like Shawn Johnson did to all of her problems.
