My hero is Sean Rash and he's a professional bowler. He was born on August 22, 1982. His hometown is in Anchorage, Alaska but now he lives in Wichita, Kansas. Sean Rash is a right-handed bowler. He was a Junior Team USA member in 1998, 2002 and 2003. He joined the PBA in 2005. He won four championships. He won USBC Chuck Hall Star of Tomorrow Award in 2001. He also won the 2003 USBC Regular Doubles Championship with Derek Sapp. He helped Team USA win the 2004 World Tenpin Team Cup gold medal in the Netherlands. Another championship he won is the 2003 Junior Gold National Amateur Championship. He has 4 titles so far. He won his first PBA major title at the 2007 USBC Masters in Milwaukee, WI. He was the first PBA player to when have started from the Tour Qualifying Round, won a title. He is still my hero even if his total average is 231.59 out of 300.
I chose Sean Rash as my hero for many reasons. He inspired me to become interested in bowling. Like how I most of the time play bowling on my wii game system. Also, he wins a lot of bowling games and championships which is awesome. Another thing is that my aunt and cousin live in Wichita, Kansas and that's where he lives now. What a coincidence! If I visit Wichita, Kansas to meet my aunt and cousin, I wonder if I can meet him. Lastly, I have seen him bowl and the style he bowls in is awesome also. When he throws the bowling ball to the side, halfway there, the ball suddenly curves and hits the bowling pins. These are some of the many reasons why I chose Sean Rash as my hero.
Overall, Sean Rash is my sports hero. He does bowling, and won many bowling games and tournaments. I learned many things about Sean Rash. Also, there are a lot of reasons like his bowling style on why I chose Sean Rash as my hero. Though I heard that the biggest obstacle he had to overcome was whether he wanted to bowl or play baseball in college. I wonder where life would have gotten him if he chose baseball, and what other hero I would have chosen if he did.
