Sacha

by Sierra from Calimesa

The Siberian husky is a medium sized sled dog that was originated in Siberia, Russia. These dogs' ancestors came from an extremely cold and harsh environment of the Siberian Arctic. I picked Siberian huskies because they are very loyal to their master. Also, they sacrifice their lives for others. They are very brave and beautiful.

This story is about a certain Siberian husky called Sacha. Sacha and her friend Tessa were out on a walk. Tessa saw some ducks on a pond and shot out after them. It was very cold outside and the pond was frozen. The ice could hold the ducks, but not Tessa. She fell right through! Suddenly, Sacha sprang into action! She raced down to the pond and into the freezing water and grabbed Tessa by the neck and dragged Tessa to the surface. Then their grateful owner helped her, and Tessa was safe.

Sacha teaches me to be brave and persevere. She also teaches me to put others before myself. Now I know to be like Sacha...always. Even though she's a dog, she has the bravery of a human.

I call Sacha my hero because she sacrificed her life for the one she loved. Siberian huskies are lovable, kind, brave, and noble. Sacha was all of those and more.
