King Sejong

A hero is a person who gives their life to others. He or she is a dreamer, is helpful to others, and is open-minded. Heroes are famous, but some are just personal to you . Heroes are extraordinary. King Sejong is a hero from South Korea because he was a king.

King Sejong was born in South Korea in 1397 and died in 1450. He was the fourth ruler of Yi dynasty of Korea and is said to be one of Korea’s greatest kings. King Sejong invented the script, Hangul. October 10th, 1446 was the day Hangul was introduced. Sejong himself composed the “Songs of a Thousand Rivers” praising the life of Buddha.


Sejong was a leader, a dreamer, and curious. Sejong is a leader because he led his people well. He is a dreamer and curious because he created the rain gauge, water clock, and the sundial.

In conclusion, a hero is an extraordinary and famous person. A hero has achieved many deeds in his or her life. King Sejong is a hero from South Korea who was a good leader and appreciated by his people for what he did for his country.
