My hero’s name is Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss is his pen name. A pen name is a name an author uses on his books. His actual name is Theodor Seuss Geisel. Dr. Seuss was born on March 2, 1904 and died on September 24, 1991. His first job was working with a magazine company, called Jack-O-Lantern. Dr. Seuss married Helen Palmer in 1927. She died October 23, 1967. In 1943 he joined the Army. His first book was And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street. Now many people see Dr. Seuss as the greatest writer of all time.

With his imagination he has inspired more children and their parents to read. People have read his books since 1937. Dr. Seuss is a hero because he has inspired so many people to read so fast.
