Ricky Carmichael

Ricky’s career has made him very famous, but he has also faced many obstacles. James “BUBBA” Stewart is one of Ricky’s greatest opponents. He almost ended Ricky Carmichael perfect record in the race at Broome Tioga. Bubba was neck and neck with Ricky through out the whole entire race at Broome Tioga, but Carmichael still took the victory. Broome Tioga is also an obstacle in its self. It is a large track with many large jumps and little obstacles. Another one of Ricky’s obstacles was his leg injury in 1999. This injury was a big obstacle because it was his knee, a joint that is very important to the sport of motocross. These are some obstacles that he has over came, but he still has many more to face (“Carmichael still perfect, Stewart clinches title”).

Ricky’s career has also provided many chances to achieve great accomplishments, so Ricky took advantage of them. Ricky won his first A.M.A championship the second year of his career. Then in 2001 Ricky won 14 out of 16 motocross races. That same year he also tied Jeremy McGrath with 13 consecutive wins (“Ricky Carmichael”).
