Susan Nne Nwoke

by Joane Nwoke

I know this may sound a bit corny but my sister is my hero. She's right up there with my mom, but I always choose my mom so I think it's time to give her some credit. My sister is my hero and my role model. She shows me the right way to do many things and lets experience things on my own. She's always there when I need someone to talk to when I can't really talk to my mom. She is my role model because where we grew up there was a lot of racism and Africans weren't accepted by the whites or the blacks. My sister pulled through it though and did the best she could so that she could go to college.I could keep going on but I think that you get the picture so the next paragraph is about my sister.

Susan Nne Nwoke is the daughter of Prof. Ben and Josephine Nwoke. She was born in Ames, Iowa in 1981. She has brown hair and eyes. Although she is 18 years of age she has the heart and soul of a five year old and the energy to match! Susan graduated from Champlin Park High school in June of 1999 with highest honors. Those honors got her paid tuition, books, and room & board at the University of Minnesota where she still isn't sure about her major.

Basically I think my sister's a great person and I hope that she will view this site someday. In closing I hope that everyone has at least one person that is a positive role model because without one the world can seem very scary.
