Spiderman is considered one of the most popular comic book heroes of all times. When he was made in 1962, he was a fantastic Marvel creation that soon became the most popular hero at that time all the way to today. As a hero, he has many heroic and chivalric traits that most heroes have. Spiderman is a fantastic hero, but he wasn’t born one. He had a normal life with the identity of Peter Parker who led a life that other people had, until the day that an experiment broke loose and the spider for the experiment bit him and gave him the extraordinary powers that he has today. Before his Uncle Ben died from a robber's assault, he said, “ with great power comes great responsibility”, and he was right, for Peter had to make many choices involving his new powers like using it to attract the girl that he has a crush on, Mary Jane, or to use it to do good in the society and fight crime. Eventually, Peter made the choice of choosing to fight crime with his new powers instead of using it for selfish reasons, but he had to risk many things in his life, including his social life with friends. In other words, he chooses to use his powers for the greater good and avoids all temptations from villains.

Spiderman has endured a lot of adventures and problems involving making difficult decisions that could leave a big impact on his life. One time, in the movie Spiderman, he had to choose whom to save from the evil Green Goblin from being dropped to death on a very high bridge. His choices were the girl that he loves, or the children that were in great jeopardy. When the Green Goblin dropped them both, Spiderman decided to risk his life to save both Mary Jane and the kids, despite the great possibility that he would fail and die. With great determination, he managed to save them both and defeat the Green Goblin later on.

Spiderman was a fantastic inspiration for me when I was a little kid. Besides his cool powers and adventures, he was a “role model” for my character. His determination to do justice and resist evil had a great influence on me in my younger times. I admired his courteousness and his willingness to stop evil and injustice wherever possible, even if it means that he would die in the process. In my own opinion, I would say that he is a true hero.
