Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and was put in his first comic in 1938. He was quickly put on T.V in 1951 and appeared in movies in 1978. Superman is a big hit to this day with his latest movie Superman Returns. We, as fans, enjoy watching Superman’s charade as Clark Kent. He is hiding right under their noses the whole time because if his identity is realized, the people he loves could come to harm.

Superman has always been a champion with his amazing athletic ability and his pleasant personality. Clark didn’t go out for sports because he knew he would pass his friends tremendously. One of his many accomplishments is defeating Doomsday, the unstoppable villain. He also is there to save the lives of ordinary people like a man falling off a building or a kid plunging into Niagara Falls. Superman has always been there to save the day.

Superman has always been there for us, and like me, he is adventurous. Like when he traveled to find his home planet, or the perfect spot for his secret lair. Superman is living life bold and on the edge and I understand that. Superman is only afraid of one thing, which is not being remembered for all the things that he has done. I think we all are afraid of being forgotten and washed away, at least I am.
