There are many wonderful people in the world, but my hero is Thomas Alva Edison. He was born on February 11, 1847, and he died at October 18, 1931. He was a inventor of many things. Thomas was very smart. Thomas Edison created the, "Perfected Phonograph", the quadruplex telegraph, the carbon microphone, and the light bulb!

Thomas first inspired me to want to invent new uses when I learned that he created the light bulb. Who would think that an everyday used item, would be created by one person? At first, he tried and tried, but there was always something wrong. Thomas never gave up. After two-hundred tries, he did it! He never stopped trying! One day, I hope to do the very same thing.
