TERRY FOX

Once there was a boy named Terry Fox. He lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was born July 28 1958. He loved challenges but soon he would create his own. His family was a very close family. His mom's name was Betty, his dad's name was Rolly, his brothers' names are Darrell and Fred. When Terry was 18 unfortunately he got cancer on his leg so they had to amputate his leg. When they were done he was looking at a magazine that had a person running. He said, "Maybe I could do that too" and so he did but in the middle of Canada he started to get a really bad cough but still kept running until it got really bad so he went to the doctor and the doctor said, "The cancer has spread to your lungs". But for some reason he kept running and raised up to $ 50,000,00. Unfortunately he passed away in 1981. Even though he past away we can still save others from cancer! My opinion of Terry Fox is, he's a hero, my hero too. He ran to cure cancer and tried to run across Canada.
