Terry Fox is a man who ran across Canada. He raised $100,000 in one day! He raised money for cancer and gave it to doctors and hospitals. He died on the road. I chose Terry Fox because he ran across Canada.

Terry Fox was born on July 28, 1958 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He went to Simon Fraser University. Terry Fox had a Mom, Dad, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Terry was influenced by his family. They helped him when he decided to run across Canada. It was really hard for him to run across Canada with only one leg. The cancer was a big obstacle because it made him really sick. It was also difficult for him to run in wet, cold weather, especially when he was sick.

Terry Fox was patient and energetic. He did not give up running when he lost his leg. He kept going even though it was hard. Terry Fox influences me because I like to run too.

Terry Fox was an important Canadian. He is a hero to many people because he has helped many people with cancer.
