Tina Maze

My hero is Tina Maze. Tina was born on 2nd May, 1983 in Slovenj Gradec in Slovenia. She is an alpine skier.

Tina Maze started skiing at age of three. When she was one year old, her family moved to Prevalje to her today´s address in Crna na Koroskem.In primary school, she skiing, volleyball coach and six years playing the piano. After primary school she enrolled a the high school in Ravne na Koroskem.

She is very famous, because she is an excellent skier and she is also a very excellent singer. Tina has a song MY WAY IS MY DECISION. This song is so beautiful. Tina is 170 cm high. She competes at the: Giant slalom, Super Giant slalom, Slalom, Downhill and Combination.

Last year she was the best skier in the world. She got more medals and three crystal globes (1 bigger, 1 Giant Slalom, 1 Super Giant Slalom). In the World cup, Tina has 22 streaks (13 Giant Slalom, 3 Combination, 3 Slalom, 1 Super Giant Slalom, 2 Downhill) and 62 podiums (25 Giant Slalom, 13 Slalom, 11 Super Giant Slalom, 6 Downhill, 5 Combination, 2 parallel match). She was starting Career in 1999. She has 2 gold medals from the World championships and from the Olympic Games she has 2 medals. Tina has Stockli skis and she is in club SK Crna - CRN.

Tina Maze is my hero because she didn't give up without a fight. In all sports there are ups and even if downs and Tina fails, she always picks herself up and goes on.
