Who is Captain Hook? It may be Tyler McLaughlin. He is a commercial fisherman who fishes on the television show called Wicked Tuna. Captain of the Pinwheel he catches massive Bluefin tuna and sells them to be shipped all across the world. His dad took him into the fishing lifestyle when he was 3 years old. He is my personal hero because he is such a great person in the fishing community and he has a competitive nature. The one thing that attracts me is that he is a fisherman. I am a good grade earning high school student and he has showed me the way to catch massive tuna. I want to obtain this career by working hard and becoming a boat captain and go fishing any time I want.

In according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics it states Commercial Fisherman makes about $13.50 an hour in 2014. The annual income of fishing or hunting worker is about $28,100. You need little to no education to become one of these workers. Some similar or related careers are education, the research of job growth, and other fishing and hunting careers. Some recent things that have happened are the tuna and salmon runs are starting and will finish in about a month and then the October to November run will start for salmon where commercial fisherman will be able to catch fish and make a living.

Some of the young traits that Tyler has is he is a fisherman who when he was growing up his father took him out fishing. Later he found out he loved to do it. His father got him into fishing and thus he has become a great fisherman and is making a sustainable living. Tyler graduated from Nicholas College in 2011. Some amazing things that Tyler has pulled off are him being a successful fisherman and he has brought in a prized Bluefin tuna from around $20,000. These days he is catching Bluefin up the northern East Coast of the United States and he can make up to $100,000 with only 6-7 tuna. Tyler is a 24 and was born in 1992.

He helps others by catching food to where he can go and sell them so people can eat the tuna. He does fishing charters to take kids and adults out fishing on his boat. "Tyler received a S.O.S call when a storm was about to hit. He rushed out to save the people drowning in the 10 foot swells. Both of the fishermen were saved and are safely at home and alive." This is regarding things that he has done.

The specific classes I will be taking are biology and AP biology to get ahead of the game for learning about bio and fish and other animals. I will fish and take scale samples to keep track if the fish are healthy. I will most likely take my first job as a deck hand on a charter boat because they make money and they have people who can eventually work up to fishing and being the captain. Some of the things I will do in college are I will be taking biology classes and joining the fishing team while staying in shape as a volleyball player. The long-term goals I will have are to become a successful business man and have free time to go fishing. I want to be like Tyler McLaughlin and own my own boat and own a side company for fishing.
