Taylor Swift

by Cassie from Williamsville

Taylor Swift is a hero. She is a role model for young girls because they could live their dreams of being a singer. Her songs send good and positive messages to kids and teens to get through tough times. She shows people they can be themselves and still succeed in life. She is a role model to me and other girls.

Taylor had a very happy childhood. She was a natural at performing when she was a kid. She said "There are videos of me walking up to strangers and singing songs from The Lion King when I was a baby." She lives with her mom, Andrea, dad, Scott and brother, Austin on a Christmas tree farm in her hometown Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. She was born on December 13; 1989. She had a very happy childhood when she was growing up.

Taylor had many accomplishments. Taylor became a famous singer. She had her first tour and first six month tour. She gave concerts, interviews at radio stations, and made special appearances. She also filmed her first movie in 2010's Valentine's Day alongside the movie Twilight's actor, Taylor Launter. She loves being in movies.

Taylor did a lot of things for her community. She was involved with her community's theater program. She teamed up with the Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen to do a campaign to protect children from online predators. In 2008, she made donations to the National and Nashville Red Cross disaster relief, St. Jude's research and to Pink Chevy Pickup to Victory Junction Gang. In 2009, Taylor donated to Red Cross to help Towa flood victims. She also donated her prom dress to "DonatemyDress. Org." Taylor loves helping people especially when it comes to kids. That's what she did for community.

Taylor had some challenges in her life. It was hard for her to get nominated and win awards. It was also hard for her to get where she is now. When she started she was so young that people didn't take her seriously at the age of 12. One other challenge that she had was being a famous singer. According to her, being famous and singing was a really complicated step in life. Taylor had a challenging life.

Taylor won a lot of awards. She won the "Buckle Breakthrough Video of the Year" award and the "Songwriter/Artist of the Year" award. She also won the "Horizon" award and the "Album of the Year" award. Two other awards she won were the "Crystal Milestone" award and the "Best Female Video" award. She won many more awards as she was growing up.

There are three qualities that helped Taylor become successful. First, she is determined because whenever she loses singing to someone else she never gives up and always tries harder. Second, she is responsible because she is conscious of how she dresses and how she acts so she remains a good positive public figure for the children. Finally, she is a giving person because she helps her community and helps keeps children safe and she tries to protect the children. Those are Taylor's three important qualities. Taylor never gives up. An important lesson I learned from the way Taylor Swift lived is it's important to always try your best and never give up. Taylor was born to be a country singer.

"It would be really easy to say I'm 21 now, I do what I want. YOU raise your kids. But that's not the truth of it," she said. "The truth of it is that every singer out there with a song on the radio is raising the next generation. So make your words count." She said that in an interview on 60 minutes. It means that you don't always get to do what you want; even though you can do whatever you want doesn't mean it's right. Taylor Swift is a hero, she is my hero.
