Taylor Alison Swift was born on December 13, 1989. Her parents Andrea and Scott were overjoyed with their daughter. Taylor Swift was named Taylor because her mother was a business woman, and Taylor could be a name for a boy or girl. If anyone were to hire her for a job they would not put her gender against her and in this way her mother was smart. What her mom didn’t know was that Taylor was going to be an amazing, award winning, country singer.

Taylor Swift was born in Wyomissing, PA and grew up on a farm that sold Christmas trees. When Taylor was eleven she decided that she was going to be a country music star, and started to sing and play guitar for people. When Taylor was thirteen all of her friends started to turn against her. They were so mean that she would come home crying every day. This event inspired her song “Best Day”. Since Taylor still wanted to be a famous country music star, she and her mom were making many trips back and forth to Nashville, Tennessee. So her parents moved with her and her brother to Nashville. Though it was hard to leave the farm, the family settled comfortably. Taylor started school there in September (this inspired the song “fifteen”). In 2006 Taylor Swift signed the record label with Big Machine records. Taylor still works with them today.

This amazing woman is my hero because she inspired me to do many things such as to start to play the guitar. I started to play the guitar because I wanted to be more like her. Just like she is my role model, she had one too. His name is Tim McGraw and that is why she wrote the song “Tim McGraw”. Taylor Swift is a great role model for children because she is a kind, honest, humble person. If I could be one person in the world it would be her.
