My hero is Travis Pastrana because he possesses amazing heroic qualities such as courage, perseverance, humor and faith in himself. He was born on October 8, 1983 in Annapolis, Maryland and is currently 27 years old.

Travis Pastrana is an amazing athlete and may be the best free rider in the world. He started riding dirt bikes when he was four years old. His first bike was a z-50 Honda with one speed. He graduated high school three years early at the age of 15 with a 3.9 GPA and then went on to the University of Maryland where he kept up a 4.0 GPA. At the age of 14 he became the youngest Freestyle Motocross Champion. He then won a gold medal at both the X Games and the Gravity Games. He is now 6 ft. 2 in., and weighs 195 pounds.

Travis Pastrana�s recent accomplishments include the double back flip in the 2006 summer X Games and the 2006 Red Bull X Fighters gold medal. He was part of the television show Thrillbillies and is now one of the producers of the MTV hit show Nitro Circus where he and his many friends go around the country doing stupid but awesome stunts.

Travis Pastrana has personally inspired me to do the best in anything that I try to do. He has also inspired me to do things out of my comfort zone. He is just a great hero to have.

As you can see, Travis Pastrana is a great hero to have because of all of his accomplishments in life and in all of the ways he has plowed new roads for the sport of freestyle motocross. He also possesses great heroic qualities for me to look up to. That is why Travis Pastrana is my hero.
