Tony Romo

Tony Romo is the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He was born April 22, 1980 in San Diego, California. He was raised in Burlington Wisconsin and played for Eastern Illinois University. In 2003 he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Cowboys.

Tony was a backup for Drew Bledsoe but in the 2006 season he got to play on October 1st. He threw his 1st touchdown pass that same day to Terrell Owens, the Cowboys veteran receiver. Three weeks after that game, he replaced Drew Bledsoe for the starting quarterback position at the start of the 2nd half of a game. Even though his 1st pass as a starter was an interception he never gave up and came back to have a great game.

Tony Romo is my hero because he never quits and he always wants to win. Tony is the reason I watch football because he is a great player and fun to watch. He is also a great guy, he always has a smile on his face and has a sense of humor. Tony is also a Mexican-American and I could relate to that because I am Mexican-American as well. He is a good football player and has many Awards and Honors to prove it. He has been to the Pro Bowl for two consecutive years (2007 and 2008).
