Some people think when you say "Tebow" it means brave or helpful, while others think he is a horrible football player. I think he is a hero. It doesn't matter what others say. It is what Tebow is like on the inside, not how he plays football, or what he looks like.

Tim Tebow is an outstanding football player. He played for University of Florida from 2006 - 2010. Tim won the BCS national championship and led his team to be SEC champions twice. He was a three time SEC first team player. Tim won the Heisman trophy and the quarterback of the year award. He started his career in the NFL playing for the Denver Broncos. He had a playoff win and a division title. He is currently playing for the New York Jets. Tim said, "I am not better than anyone else just because I play football."

Tim Tebow is a Christian. He constantly expresses his gratitude to God. He is very open about his belief as a follower in Jesus. He often says, "I have so many things to work on, and so many ways that I fail. But that's what grace is all about, and I constantly wake up every morning trying to get better, trying to improve, trying to walk closer to God." When Tebow was in college he was known for putting Bible verses on his eye blacks during football games. When he scores a touchdown, he kneels down and prays because he is thankful. Before every home game, when he was playing for the Denver Broncos, he would choose a family through the W15H Foundation to come watch the game and meet him.

Tim has started a foundation called the Tim Tebow Foundation. The Tim Tebow foundation supports the W15H program, the CURE International Partnership, Timmy's Playrooms, and Uncle Dick's Orphanage in the Philippines. The w15h program, pronounced "Wish 15 program", has been created to fulfill the dreams of kids who have illnesses whose dream is to meet Tim in person. The CURE International Partnership's mission is to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day. Timmy's Playrooms creates playrooms in children's hospitals around the world. These playrooms will serve as a place of faith, hope and love to these very sick, but courageous children. Uncle Dick's Orphanage provides a home for kids left without homes or are abandoned in the Philippines.

I think Tim is a great hero, both on and off the football field. He is a very generous and caring man. I think he is a great hero because he helps others that have illnesses. He does this by giving them the gift of taking them to a Broncos game and to a meal. I think that is a good hero trait because he isn't selfish with his money. If you make a lot of money you can give it to poor people and that is what really stands out about Tim Tebow.
