Tarah

by Britney from Great Falls

My hero is my amazing horse trainer, Tarah Shepard, who has inspired me in my life. She has helped me with my horse and my equitation. She helps me when i get mad. I look up to her because she is a good rider and inspires me to do my best and is a leader to many other riders.

She inspires me because I look up to her, she has helped me get new tack to improve my riding. She also inspires me because she gets the chance to work at Stoneleigh Burnham and that is not an easy job. She also inspires because she does the job that I want to do when I am older. She is a leader to other kids and helps other kids by teaching them how to learn.

My horse trainer Tarah has helped me get new tack, and I am very pleased. Ever since my old horse trainer left for her college in Montana, Tarah has helped me get the right saddle because my horse was getting sore because my other saddle did not fit and was rubbing on my horse's withers. She has also helped me get new saddle pads and polo wraps.

She is a leader to not just me but many other people. She is a leader because she helps people understand if they don't know what to do or if they are confused she helps with that. She is also a leader because she is a really good rider and a lot of people look up to her because they want to be a really good rider like her.

She also helps me when I get mad in my lessons, like if I get upset because my horse is being not good or angry. She lets me have a break and then we get to talk about it and then we go on with the lesson. Also if I get mad she will ask me what is making me angry. She helps me resolve my problems and to see what will make me feel better and brings me on trail rides to make me feel better and to relax. Now I will tell you a little about her. She worked at Stoneleigh Burnham for a long time. She helps at some of the horse shows if they need a rider to ride the horse before the show because sometimes the horses can be scared or wild and don't want to do the show so Tarah helps with that. She is very brave to help with that because not a lot of people trust people to do that to horses that someone doesn't own. Tarah is my hero for many ways. She helps me when I get mad or sad. She has helped me with many other things and has helped many other people too and also has brought me on on many trails and other things and has shown me many other ways how to be a better rider. So Tarah Alexandra Watson Shepard is my hero.
