My hero is J.R.R. Tolkien, the author of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Hobbit, and several other books. He is a very good writer, and his books have been turned into very successful movies. He is an inspiration to me and many others.
John Ronald Reul Tolkien was born in 1892 in South Africa. When his father died when he was four, he moved to England with his mother and brother. His mother died when he was 12. While he was in the battle of the Somme, one of the biggest bloodbaths in WWI, he began to get ideas for a new world, which later became Middle Earth. He began writing The Hobbit for a bedtime story for his kids. After it was published, the publisher asked for a sequel. He spent a whole decade working on Middle Earth. The LOTR series was what launched him into being an internationally recognized writer, and there were some extremely successful movies based upon his books, which I myself have watched many times.
In conclusion, Tolkien is a hero because he is an inspiration to many people, and has also brought joy to many people through his writing. I’m amazed at how captivating and inspirational his books are, and he has even made me consider a career in writing, and inspired most of my school writing. He is dead, but his spirit lives on in his writing that will be remembered for a long time to come.
