A hero is someone who will stick up for someone when they need help. A hero is someone who likes or loves to help or inspire someone else. A hero should make an impression on someone else. Heroes should also try to do the right things in life all the time. Shania Twain is my hero because she inspires a lot of people, including me. She inspires people ranging in ages from five to ninety-five. She loves what she does and practices at it to get better. She is also my hero because her parents died, she was young, and she took in her siblings and raised them by herself. These are some reasons why Shania Twain is my hero.

Shania Twain’s birth name before she changed it was, Eileen Regina Edwards. She is part Ojibwa Indian. She was born August 28, 1965 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She was raised in Timmon, Ontario. Her birth father was Clarence Edwards. Shania’s first performance was when she was in first grade. For show and tell she sang a song called “Country Roads.”

In high school she sang in a band called “Long Shot.” Shania’s parents died in a car wreck when she was twenty-one and from then on she was responsible for raising her four siblings on her own. On December 28, 1993, she was married to Robert John Lange. She has four brothers and sisters, Jill, Carrie-Ann, Mark, and Darryl. Shania is the second oldest out of the four.

She has two pets; a horse and a dog. Tim is the dog and Dancer is the horse. Shania’s favorite food is pasta, her favorite dessert is peach pie. Her favorite actor and actress are Jim Carrey and Jessica Lange. In her free time she likes to go camping, horseback ridding, skiing and she loves animals and nature. She plays the guitar. Some awards that Shania received are: Entertainer of the Year, and 1995's Best Country Album, which was called ” The Woman in Me.” Shania had a baby boy named Eja in 2001, who is now five years old.

Shania is my hero because she inspires a lot of people; she inspires me and other people ranging in ages from five to ninety-five. She loves what she does in life and she also enjoys doing it. One of the songs that inspires me the most is “Don’t” it inspires me because it is telling what not to do to be with her and for her to love them and stuff like that. This is why I chose Shania Twain as my hero.
