Usain Bolt (Wikipedia (Wikipedia)) |
Usain Bolt is a hero for main reasons. In this essay, I will be listing these reasons, so buckle your seat belts. Born in Jamaica, 1986, he is the fastest sprinter and has world records for the 100 and 200 meter runs. Also, he was the first man in history to break 3 world records in the 2008 Beijing. Last but not least, he is a 6 time Olympic gold medalist.
Usain Bolt went to Waldensia Primary where he started showing his sprinting potential. Very quickly, he became the fastest 100 and 200 meter kid in the school, and it was then, when his coach, Pablo McNeil, noticed him. Interestingly enough, he wanted to be a cricket player, and not a professional sprinter! Usain practiced so much that he got injuries from too much practicing! He was determined to practice his pro skills every day, no matter what. Sometimes, when he went there, he liked being mischievous because he hid behind a van when he was supposed to be practicing.
In the 2004 Athens Olympics, he got eliminated in the first round of heats by a hamstring injury. However, he did not give up. Later, in 2008, he did the world record that he is famous for: 9.58 seconds on the 100m sprint.
Usain Bolt is also a role model for so many people because he inspires them to never give up and try again, and again, and again. He practices five times a week, which is amazing! He is a big, built up athlete, that stands at 6 foot 5 and continues for ever. Another characteristic of his is that he pushes his limits because even from injuries he still keeps going! He is also a pursuer that makes his dreams come true. Because, when he tries, even though he fails, he eventually succeeds. So he tells us to continue on.
Therefore, because of the above mentioned attributes. and determination, HE IS MY HERO!
