Uncle Mark

My Uncle Mark is a soldier in Iraq and I miss him so much but I know that he is fighting for our country. He writes us whenever he can. It's not a lot but my family and I totally understand. He has been in Iraq for a year now. He was in Afghanistan for 4 years. That's a long time.

He has a wife named Carly and two boys named Mark Jr. and Jimmy and a little girl named Haily. They are over all the time we all visit and talk about him and we just miss him so much. We all want him to come home because we really, really miss him. When he writes us he tells us about his partner. He seems like a really decent guy, I'm just glad that he has somebody there with him.

Anywho, my Uncle Mark is only 35 and his partner is even younger. At the age of 22 they are so young. Well when he comes home we are throwing the biggest party ever just for him but after he is all rested up and feeling better so he can enjoy it too. When he comes back we are all praying, that he doesn't have to go back because we love him so much and we don't want anything to happen to him. There will be a lot of crying but he always tells us that this is his job and that he loves the army and he will be fine. He loves us but the army is his other family and he can't let them down but he does love us.

He will come home home soon hopefully and be ok. If anything happens to him we will all be a great big wreck. My Uncle James also died in the war two months ago. My Uncle James is another HERO of mine. When he died everybody came to me like what can I do? I'm hurt also and who am I to lean on? I cry in my room when nobody is around. I don't think I could do that again. Well that will probably happen to me again if my Uncle Mark dies. But he's not because he is so strong and brave and he can do it. He can do anything, he is a HERO.

Now that's what I call a hero, my hero, so if you read this please pray with me and hope for him to come home safely and along with all the other soldiers the other HEROES pray with me please...

GOD, PLEASE BRING MY UNCLE MARK HOME AND THE OTHER SOLDIERS TOO. THEY NEED TO BE WITH THEIR FAMILIES AND THEIR FAMILIES NEED THEM. GOD KEEP THEM SAFE AS THEY FIGHT TO KEEP OUR COUNTRY PEACEFUL AND FREE. KEEP THEM WARM WHEN IT IS COLD. PROTECT THEM AS THEY SLEEP. BE WITH THEM ALWAYS AND WHEN THEY COME HOME TO YOU PLEASE TELL THEM THAT THEY ARE HEROES. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING GOD.
