My hero is General Vang Pao,who is the leader of the Hmong American people in the U.S. General Vang Pao was a Lieutenant General. G.V.P was many things to the French and Hmong Nation. He had changed the destiny of the Hmong People, which he was awarded as their highest military honors. As a legend towards the Hmong Nation, he was loyal, a hero, and also a fellow citizen. Not only that he was one of the most important leaders, he also had one single main goal. He wanted to ensure a safer home for his Hmong people and lead them to a brighter future. What G.V.P wanted was freedom.

At an early age Vang Pao was sent to school a the age of 10 to 15. He then later join the French military to protect his fellow Hmong during the Japanese invasion. He didn't know much French but the proctor which is the captain dictated the answers to him so he can be in the army. General Vang Pao was not guided to the paper and was wrong. As his career he wanted to be in the military to protect his Hmong Nation. His life was guided by his pride and beliefs.

General Vang Pao had fought in several secret wars in the jungle. A Hmong army of his, fought side by side with other ethnics to protect the Kingdom of Laos against the communist attacks during the Cold War. Many Hmong relied on finding a way to be free someday. Luckily G.V.P was chosen to be brave and fought to save many of his people's lives. The war was difficult for many Hmong survivors and American pilots who had been shot down. The secret war was against Vietnamese, who were taking Laos kingdom away from us. The war officially ended for 15 years.

G.V.P as for our leader Lieutenant General Vang Pao, saved the Hmong People and was brought to the U.S. He is an honorable man and had suffered through many. Vang Pao continued on with his unreliable goals, but did had one main goal only. Vang Pao had accomplished what he wanted for Hmong Nation and soon left his land to the U.S . Him and his Hmong army had defeated Laotian and Hmong people, country of Laos, FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY. He finished the unfinished and still led his Hmong to a brighter life in America. G.V.P still had to lead his Hmong Nation but had to leave for a better place. He saved many and loved many. General Vang Pao had passed away at the age of 81 2011 in the U.S. He had left many of his loved ones behind. MY hero, Lieutenant General Vang Pao, will be honored and remember for what special and risk he had took for Hmong Nation. As a young man till now, Lieutenant Pao was a big hero to every Hmong. As a young man till now, Lieutenant Pao was a big hero to every Hmong. He is a HERO, a hero for Hmong soldiers, friends, and family. Vang Pao is also my hero, a hero who feared many, saved many, and loved many. Lieutenant General Vang Pao, my hero.
