My hero is Vanessa Mae. She was born in Singapore, on October 27, 1978. Then she moved to London, and she started to play the violin. She had a natural talent, so in 1988, she made her professional debut. She is on the list of the 25 "Most Beautiful People in the World," and one of the 100 "Most Beautiful Women in the World." Vanessa Mae brings to this project the experience of a classical violin prodigy who was well into a major international concert career when she was barely in her teens. The success of this violin player justified a bold creative gamble that she wanted to take: a new synthesis of classical and pop sounds. Her sales have topped 8 million so far, earning her more than 40 international platinum awards, and making her a superstar. She has collaborated with other famous musicians such as Prince and Janet Jackson, as well as done many classical performances as well.

She is my hero because she plays the violin perfectly, and is a good hearted person. I can say this because I think that a person who plays the violin like her can't be bad hearted. She has proven to the world that you can mix the best of two genres of music, making another one that has the best of both. She is passionately involved in charity work as well. Through her close links with the Red Cross, Vanessa-Mae has visited Kenya and Cambodia, and given fund-raising performances.

She is an example for people that if you work hard for what you dream, you can make it come true, and I am sure that I'm not the only one who admires her.
