Who is Walt Disney? That's a good question. Walt Disney is known as " The Maker of Magical Worlds." He is also known as my hero. Why? I will tell you right now.

Walter Elias Disney was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He lived from December 5, 1901 to December 15, 1966. He has made three theme parks and one "out of this World" major theme park. They are Disneyland, in Anaheim, California, Tokyo Disney, in Chiba, Japan, Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida, and Disneyland Paris, in Paris, France.

He was the son of Flora and Elias Disney and had three brothers and one sister. He worked as a mailman in Kissimmee, Florida. Who knew that Kissimmee would be the future home of Walt Disney World?

In 1917, Walt and one of his friends decided to join the Red Cross. During the year in France, Walt drove an ambulance, which was covered from top to bottom with Disney cartoons.

Walt Disney is my hero because he brought enjoyment to young and old through his cartoon characters, TV show, and theme parks.
