Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 Chicago Illinois, United States. Walt Disney's brothers and sisters names are Roy. O. Disney, Herbert Arthur Disney, Raymond Arnold Disney and Ruth Flora Disney. In 1925 Walt Disney married Lillian Bounds. In 1923, Walt Disney produced his first cartoon series Alice in Cartoon Land. In 1928, Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse. In 1937, Walt Disney produced first great critical financial success, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. In 1941, Walt Disney began making training and instructional films for the armed forces. In 1954, the appearance of the TV show Disneyland began and it received four Academy Awards. In 1965, Walt Disney announced to open Disneyland world theme park. Walt Disney's only hobby was building trains. Walt Disney once built a train that was 1/8 scale steam railroad in his backyard. Another of his hobbies is that he likes to draw and create characters. Walt Disney took an art class in Chicago and he used most of his imagination. In 1950, Walt Disney created the movie Cinderella and Treasure Island. In 1951, Walt Disney created Alice in Wonderland. In 1953, Walt Disney created Peter Pan. In 1955, Walt Disney created the lady and the tramp. In 1959, Walt Disney created sleeping beauty. In 1961, Walt Disney created the 101 Dalmatians. In 1929, Walt Disney created silly symphonies which included Donald duck, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Pluto. In 1933, the three little pigs and its title song "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf" became a theme for the country in the midst of the great depression. In 1940, Walt Disney created Pinocchio and Fantasia. In 1941, Walt Disney created Dumbo. In 1942, Walt Disney created Bambi. In December 1939, a new campus for Walt Disney studios opened in Burbank. In 1964, Walt Disney produced Mary Poppins. Walt Disney is a hero because he gave to children all over the world, was brave when others did not believe in him and is an inspiration for all the wonderful things he created.

Walt Disney is a hero because he built a wonderful place for kids to be happy. He was caring and believed that parents and children did not have a place that they could play together and so he set out to build a place, where parents and children could interact and play together. "Constructing began on July 16, 1954. and Disneyland was opened on Sunday July 17, 1955" (The Construction of Disneyland). He wanted kids and parents to have good relationships and have a place to build great memories. He enjoyed time with his own children and care about other families. Another part of Disneyland opened in 2001 it was called California adventure. In 1971, after Walt Disney died his brother carried on his work for him and instead of Disneyland in Florida he named it Walt Disney World. Disney's influence has expanded all over the world with the addition of Disney Paris, Disney Tokyo, Japan, Disney Cruise Line, Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai, China Disney Resort and Aulani, Hawaii Disney Resort & Spa (Disney Parks and Resorts around the World). His caring goal of bring children and their parents together has been realized all over the world.

Walt Disney pulled off the impossible that no one could ever do, he just went and did it. He was brave to embark on his dream of Disneyland. Many people did not support him, "Bankers, investor and lots of people within the company strongly opposed to it. His brother Roy thought that a 'fanciful, expensive amusement park would lead to finical ruin'" (The Construction of Disneyland). Walt Disney stayed positive and did not give up even when everyone was against his dream. He was confident of his vision he gathered funds all by himself (The Construction of Disneyland). Walt Disney could have lost everything in the building of Disneyland, he could have even gone bankrupt. This makes him very brave and a hero because he risked everything for his dream.

Walt is a hero because he is creative and shared his talents with everyone. He is creative because he designed characters that people love like Minnie mouse, Mickey mouse. Daisy, Donald duck Pluto and Goofy. He is also creative because he created movies that required lots of thinking but he also had help from his assistants and directors. Walt Disney used most of his imagination to create the characters and the movies.

He is an inspiration to me because he made people happy and that's what I want to do sometimes. He's inspiring because he built a place where people can play together and be happy. Many people believe that he wasn't brave enough but he went and built Disneyland when no one else believed in him. I would like to see people make better choices like he did. Instead of people making bad choices how about they make the right choices. There are many things that teenagers can do right now. They can speak kindly to others, care about others feelings, and clean up after themselves, leaving the environment they travel through better than how they found it.
