Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse

My hero is Walt Disney. Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901. I chose Walt Disney as my hero because I have always thought he is interesting and all of my family loves Walt Disney World. Also, he never gave up and he did a lot in his short life.

Walt Disney is a hero because he always tried to help his family when they were having trouble, and he showed courage and bravery when he dropped out of high school to serve in World War 1. Then he served as an ambulance driver for the Red Cross, showing he was caring. Walt Disney was inspired to draw and paint when his family moved to Marceline, Missouri. Then Walt Disney moved to Kansas City and took a job at a film advertising service. He said that was the best thing that ever happened to him. There he learned some knowledge about filmmaking, and made his first film, Laugh-o-grams.

Walt Disney made a difference in a lot of people’s lives. He made a difference in my life because I used to watch his cartoons when I was young. He made a difference in the world when he made Disneyland and Walt Disney World. He made a difference in someone else’s life, (my younger sister’s,) by making her happy when she was in Walt Disney World.

Sadly, Walt Disney died in 1966 because he had a lung cancer disease called acute circulatory collapse. He really was a great person and his work inspired many people. That is why he is my hero.
