Wyane Gretzky Web (I made it with Inspiration (I did))

My Canadian hero is Wayne Gretzky. I chose Wayne because I think he's very inspiring in hockey. He was also very smart in hockey. He was the best hockey player to ever play hockey with a point count of over 2000 points. He broke a load of records. He was a very humble in hockey too. He also got 200 points in one season. That's only a small bit though.

When Wayne was two years old he got on his first pair of skates. When he was four his dad made an ice rink in his back yard. Walter (his dad) left the lawn sprinkler on all night and in the morning there was a good patch of ice waiting for Wayne. When he was six he got on an Atom team with the jersey number eleven. He was born on January 26, 1961. When he was in the NHL his jersey number was 99. When he was young he played with much older kids.

Wayne had a lot of accomplishments. First he won four Stanly Cups with Edmonton Oilers. He also was on four NHL teams and was the captain of three of them. Wayne got 200 points in one season. Not to mention he was the best hockey player in the world. He was able to beat Gordie Howe's record of points in 780 games. It took Gordie Howe 1767 games to make the record. He even played in the NHL for 20 seasons. Wayne got a spot in the hall of fame and became part owner of the Phoenix Coyotes. He also had many nicknames, for example he was called: The Great Gretzky. He lights the Vancouver 2010 winter Olympic torch too. He was so good nobody can ware his jersey now. In his second season he won the Art Ross trophy (first out of seven consecutive).

Wayne did amazing things. He is very inspiring to young hockey players like me. I think Wayne is a very great role model towards sportsmanship. He has probably inspired many others too. That's why Wayne Gretzky is my hero. I hope you like my page.
