William lived in a desert with little houses.
Trevor
His family was poor.
William and his family worked on a farm. They grew corn.
The sun went up. The plants weren't getting rain. They needed rain to grow up strong.
They didn't have any money or food.
William didn't have any money, so he could not go to school.
William liked to take apart stuff and build trucks.
He liked to figure out how stuff works.
He wanted to figure out how to build a windmill. William wanted to save the world. He could be the person that saves us. He could be really good. He wanted the water to come, so they can grow food and be healthy.
He was at the library, trying to learn all about windmills so he knew what windmills do. William said, "I will build electric wind."
He went to the junkyard and he put a whole bunch of things in his bag.
He tried to make a windmill out of garbage.
The people said he was crazy. They were mean.
The wind picked up and the windmill moved around and around in a circle really, really fast.
The wires connected to the light and to the windmill. The windmill lit up the light.
The people said "YAY! Good job!" to William.
