Wilbur Wright (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3c/Wilbur_wright_gross.jpg) |
Wright lived in 1867 - 1912 in Indiana, USA. He tried to help the entire USA to get advancement in aeronautics. Their first action of importance was when they became fascinated with aeronautics. After that, they had tried to recreate a mini-helicopter their father had bought them, but bigger. They themselves said that this was what sparked their interest in aeronautics. Which along these lines, they began to invent miniature airplanes, helicopters, and anything that flew.
Another thing that Wright did was aerial experiments. This met my definition because they kept failing, but also kept trying, no matter how unlikely they thought it would be. In 1896 a German aviator took flight, but died on a glider. The same year a French aviator began 'recruiting' young aviators. This impacted people's lives because gilders began to be made, thus ending in airplanes and helicopters, and most flying vehicles.
Wright's legacy left us (the people of the United States of America) the first ever working glider, leading us into a new age of technology. With the new age of technology, the United States would then advance, and become the great nation we are today.
