Wayne Gretzky

Wayne Gretzky is one of the all time greatest hockey players.  He came into the world on January 26th 1961.  He always played hockey whenever he had free time.  I picked him because I love to play hockey and he was my idol when I played hockey, I did everything that he did when I played.  When he was little his dad always tucked the right-side of his jersey in, and when I played I did the same, though I did not get to choose the same number as him because someone else already had taken it.  He is my hero because no matter what struggles he went through he would always tough them out no matter what.

One of his main struggles was getting traded.  He hated to be traded but loved to play.  He was first on the Edmonton Oilers and then he got married and once he got married he got traded from the Oilers to the Los Angeles Kings.  He retired with the New York Rangers and now he owns his own restaurant in Canada.  One of Wayne's famous quotes was "skate to where the puck is going not where it is..."
