Wernher Von Braun invented rockets. He was born on March 23, 1912, and he died on June 16, 1977. That was 65 years. Von Braun was born in Wirsitz, Germany (now Poland) and moved to Alexandria, Virginia. He helped launch the V-2 rocket, Explorer 1, Saturn 1, IB, and V.

When he was little he played with airplanes and he wanted to make something to go into space. When he was a little boy he always loved rockets. He always was interested in space. He did not do well in Math and Physics. His parents always told him to try try again.

Wernher Von Braun received numerous awards for his work.

My life is better, because Wernher Von Braun did not have a lot of technology. He created the technology he wanted to use. Things I learned from one of his articles is that the Earth's magnetic field creates a shield in space called the magnetosphere.
